Robbie was one of the Newport Wedge crew and star of the Rot videos. Robbie was also one of the sports true characters always getting up to mischief like chewing tobacco and partying hard. Heres Mr Crawford seen below in Custom X advertisement from around ’93 pic by Mike Novak.

Youngy Dougy Robson from Cronulla originally rode a standup before the older Cronulla crew like the Hulme Bros convinced him to ride a Boogie at The Patch. Doug liked it that much he never went back and throughout the late 80′s became the main man to beat in Aussie comps. This pic of surfer Owl Chapman taken in 1973 at Pipe performing a backside dropknee pose could have been the trigger that got Jack Lindholm’s mind ticking when he came up with a similar stance a few years later which was known as the Jack Stance but frontside and on a Boogie.
