One of the Eastern suburbs crew in the 90′s Cory was a regular top performer on the Aussie tour. He was a standout at Tamarama and K Bay as well as many his trips south to secret reefs. These days Cory is best known for his regular TV appearances on Bondi Rescue were he features as a lifeguard saving lives. Cory gouge photo Stroh late 90′s.

Dean Seppings from Durban South Africa was part of Morey’s stong worldwide team in the mid 90′s. Along with Alistair Taylor, The Cockwell Bros and Neal Stephenson the South Africans let the bodyboard world they meant buisness. In Hawaii Dean was a standout with his stylish turns. He was only of little stature but at size-able Pipe he was fearless. This shot of Dean below was taken in West Oz around ’97 when Dean was out touring and free-surfing. Pic Stroh

When Eppo won the world title in ’93 bodyboarding was in the boom days of the sport. Eppo scored a sweet deal with Old El Passo to promote there Mexican products. Here’s the lad on the cover in supermarkets all around Australia. photos Stroh

Rollins Wood was best known for his powerful backside dropknee moves. Covered in tats years before they became a trend, Rollins was a standout in Hawaii. He stared in the Fumanchu and Untouchables videos and was a member of the Custom X team along with Robbie Crawford and Fred Booth. One of the most powerful drop riders ever. The first Morey Boogie advertisements throughout the 70s were the first real source of news for dedicated bodyboarders around the world.Partly testimonials from stoked users they also offered the first information and introduction to other riders.

Chris Anne is the longtime partner of Ben Severson and sister to Danny Kim the standup bodyboarder. It was only natural she would end up growing up on the beach on the Westside bodyboarding. In the late 80′s she was one of Hawaii’s top female competitors along with Shawnee Oide. Chris Anne excelled at Pipe when the Women’s Comps were held. Jordan Hetrick busted on the international bodyboard scene from California in the mid ’90s and instantly made a huge impression. He rode for Custom X , Premier and Outcast wetsuits and was heavily featured in Pit Magazine. He was regular in Hawaii during the winter seasons and was a standout along the Backdoor to OTW strip pulling big airs and deep tubes. A few years later Jordan seemed to just disappear off the bodyboard radar. Hetrick moved downunder for a while and continued to bodyboard but just lost interest in the whole scene. Chris from Hawaii was a member of the Kauai Classic team who in the late 80′s formed to promote the bodyboarders from the neighbouring Island of Kauai and Christianity. Along with Kyle Maligro, Harry Antipala and others Chris was apart of the first bodyboard team. He appeared regularly in Challenger advertisements and was equally talented at both DK and Prone. With his blond hair and smooth clean style he was a favourite with photographers and regular standout at Off The Wall. Photo Stroh taken at Beach Park January ’93.
