Spencer Skipper has the smoothest and cleanest lines in the buisness. A longtime Hawaiian standout here he slides into a typical perfect Oahu barrel as photographer Stafford sat right in the spot to capture all the split second action. The image appeared on the cover of Bodyboarding Magazins in 2002.

Dave Shaw was the first proffesional surf photographer in Australia to get right behind bodyboarding. The fact he was a high profile bodyboarder himself at the time made him a natural for the job. Through his first articles in Tracks it gave the sport a voice and direction in Australia. Here Dave takes the drop at Cronulla Point in Nov 86. Picture was by Chris Stroh

Mike Stewart opened a door of posibilities when he sussessfully took on Jaws riding a bodyboard for the first time. Up to this point Tow-in bodyboarding was virtually undiscovered and that bodyboards themselves would not be able to handle the size.Mike proved the skeptics wrong. The sport of Bodyboarding owes a lot to Hubb who has almost single handedly revolutionised aerial moves since he busted onto the scene in the mid 90′s. From his big airs, 720′s and signature Hubb move he has continually pushed the envelope. This pic of Hubb in typical flight on the cover of Bodyboarding Magazine was on the Jan.  2000 issue.

Chad Barba became well known in bodyboarding media after his camera helmet footage in the early 90′s film “Bodyboarding Enough Said” blew many minds. After a while he grew tired of the whole Boogie scene, dropped out of the spotlight went underground with occasional sightings every now and then in remote places. These pics are proof the low profile Barba now looking a bit like Neptune  is out there somewhere.

Before Tom Boyle turned his hand to surf photography, film making and putting together the first real images of hardcore bodyboarding he was part of the original Sandy beach bodyboard crew and one of the sports first Pro riders.This pic was taken at Pipe in the early days of the Morey Boogie World Title event when Tom finished well placed.

One of the sports true superstars and greatest waterman. From charging huge Pipe dropknee, busting heavy moves to winning contests, Kainoa is respected worldwide  . He’s one rider who deserved a World title , came so close on numerous occasions and pushed Mike Stewart right to the edge in some classic duals.
