The follow up to Fumanchu, this time Joe Libby broke away from Scotty Carter and dished up a whole new all Dropknee movie to a hip hop sountrack. Starring Kainoa, Aka , Buder,Booth and the rest of the Hawaiian rippers its a must see for the Jack stance crew.

JP was famous for his unique style and reverse hand placement. In the early 80′s Patterson was one of the sports most recognized faces winning the first ever major contest held at Pipeline. He survived a 50ft wave at Waimea and went on to become Moreys promotions man in the 90′s. This Scott advertisement is from the early 80′s.

This Hawaiian joint effort was the work of Scott Aichner, Brobin Prod. and Willy Bralund. It captured the best Hawaiian action of the mid 90′s including Hubb, Fred Booth, Maligs and more. It was the first bodyboard movie to feature  16mm shot footage by Aichner who has gone on to be one of the best water photographers in the world today. That is Aka on the cover below.

The United Kingdoms Threesixty magazine arrived on the British bodyboard scene early 90′s. Back then it was in newspaper format. Heres issues 2 with Matt Allen on the cover and issue 3 with Mike Stewart.

Rush Magazine was the first magazine to feature a bodyboard video as a giveaway on its cover in Australia. and the world for that matter. The vid came with issue 3 and appeared in the late 90′s and was a sell out.The free movie was called Peepshow and produced by Underground Tapes.Below cover and vid package.

NF1 was a break through video that smashed tradition in 1997. By pulling together the best riders and forming a team and then using that talent to produce their own segments and ideas was a revolutionary idea that set them apart from all other videos of the time. Using  music by the biggest bands was another feature that started a trend. It was the complete package and it changed bodyboarding videos forever.
